THIS YEAR WE ARE OFFERING 3 DIFFERENT SERIES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. WE HOPE TO KEEP ALL RIDERS PROGRESSING TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF THE EQUESTRIAN SPORT.

Southern Maryland Horse Association

Nice series for all horses & riders. Prince George's Equestrian Center

  • April 24th & 25th, May 8th & 9th, May 29th & 30th, July 10th & 11th, August 7th & 8th
  • We will be showing on Saturday and Sundays
  • Coaching this series will be Alice Frazier
  • Stall reservations required, please handle direct with SMHA. Request barn with En-Tice-Ment Stables group. If you pay early for stalls there is a discount.

Freestate Riding Club

Great show for beginner riders or novice horses.

Black Eyed Susan Show

This is a show series at the Prince George's Equestrian Center. This show series has rated classes with MHSA. They have the first show of the season at PGEC so this is a good chance to "tune up" horse and riders to prepare for the show season.

  • March 27th & 28th, May 15th & 16th, July 17th & 18th, August 21st & 22nd
  • They have rated MHSA classes on both days for Juniors and Adults
  • Stall reservations must be turned in together
  • I will send out more info as available then collect fees to turn into show manager

FALL & WINTER 2009


EQUILIBRIUM HORSE CENTER - Schooling Hunter show series - Nice classes for little kids on up to advanced 3' classes. September 27, October 25, November 15, December 6 & January 10th.

FREE STATE RIDING CLUB - schooling show series with two shows left. September 19th & October 17th (holloween costume class)

En-Tice-Ment Stables Schooling Shows - October 4th & November 1st (haloween costume class) at Obligation Farm. This is our own schooling show open to only clients of Enticement Stables/ Obligation Farm. Here is a chance to be judged before we travel off the farm to other shows.

  • The fee for coaching during a horse show is $50.00 per day. We must have a miniumum of 5 students attending each show. If the attendance is below 5 we will increase the per person price so that a total of $250.00 is charged per day.
  • Transportation fees for horses - BEST & SMHA $50, FSRC $60.
  • Riders are responsible for the preparation of the horse for the show. If you are unable to do this we will be happy to do it for you with plenty of notice. Washing $20, Braiding Mane $40, Clipping $20, Mane pulling $20 and any other service you need.
  • Riders are responsible for being with their horse for loading and unloading. Also setting up their stalls at the show grounds is the riders responsibility. If you are unable to do this we will do it for you. Taking horse to show and setting up $30. Taking horse home and removal of a water bucket $20. We will be handling the shavings order for each stall. The charges will be determined by the store price at the time of delivery.
  • If you would like to see your horse shown by one of our Professional Riders the fee is $15 per class. All entries, stall and transportation fees are at the expense of the owner. If you don't have a horse & would like to show one of ours the fee is $5 per class plus the entry fees, stall rental, shavings, coaching and transportation fees.
  • The preparation of the horse for the show is the rider's responsibility.
  • If you sign up to attend a show you will be charge all fees unless you give 2 weeks notice of cancellation.

General info: Riding attire is long pants or chaps and boots or hard sole shoes with a heel. We suggest you bring your own helmet. Please bring shorts, tennis shoes ( no flip flops or sandals) or comfortable clothes when not riding. Our other activities may include painting so wear old clothes. Other things to bring - Lunch, lots of drinks or change for soda machine & sunscreen.
