Deana Tice
About the Owner / Operator - Enticement Stables

Deana Tice has over 25 years of experience having been an equestrian her whole life, competing in her first show when she was 18 months old. Deana began teaching and helping other young riders when she was twelve years old. She rode hunters and jumpers in top level American Horse Show Association shows including the Washington International Horse Show. Deana was a member of the United States Pony Club, competing in three day eventing and moving through the levels of training.

Deana Tice attending the University of Maryland where she earned her 4 year degree and also completed many Education classes. While a student she was a member of the Intercollegiate Equestrian Team competing throughout the East Coast and making it to the Nationals in her first year.

After graduation, she furthered her career and developed her Management skills and was employed with the Southern States Corporation in Upper Marlboro, MD for eleven years, overseeing 25 employees that she trained and supervised. Through her experience with Southern States, she gained the expertise and knowledge to teach and assist fellow horseman proper equine nutrition and health. In addition to working for Southern States, Deana started a partime business at Enticement Stables, training, teaching and managing, and to this date, after her retirement from her full time position, for the past 5 years she now runs and manages Enticement Stables with the assistance of her Trainers, Instructors, Grooms and Farm Operators (two Equestrian Stables, Enticement and Obligation Farm) with 75 plus horses at the farms combined.

Deana has also worked with Quarter Horses. After marrying her husband Joe ( a quarter horse person) in 1986, she began riding and training Quarter Horses in Western Pleasure and many other classes on the Quarter Horse Circuit. She continued to help others taking her students to the high level of the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Deana and Joe have three sons who also enjoy growing up around horses and ponies and are competing in local shows in the Western Divisions, Josh, and the twins Cody & Justin.

Deana has merged all of her experiences into operating En-Tice-Ment Stables for the better education of equestrians.

Kim Bonelli
Trainer/Management, Obligation Farm

Kim Bonelli grew up in Michigan and began her career, riding ponies at age seven. She competed in the A Circuit through High School and took her horse with her to Lake Erie College where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Studies in 1991.

Kim rode and trained successfully on the college Jumper Team and took lessons and competed on the Upper Level dressage horses. She rode her own horse, Reilly, in all disciplines, including Eventing. She began her professional career as a Trainer in Maryland in 1991.

In 1995 she took a job in Davidsonville, Maryland at a Breeding Farm and became certified in artificial insemination. She assisted with live cover and delivered foals. She was responsible for breaking two and three year olds and preparing them for World and National Quarter Horse and Appaloosa Western Pleasure Competition.

In 2000 Kim established and opened her own Equestrian Show and Lesson Facility. After five successful years she moved the business to Obligation Farm in Harwood, Maryland. Kim is the full time Trainer/Manager of the Lesson Program at Obligation Farm teaching all disciplines and taking students as early as five years.

Kim is certified with CHA/Safety and Horsemanship in 1992 through the Advanced Level. Her students have received numerous Championships and Year End Awards in Equitation, Pleasure, Jumping, Dressage and Pony Club. She has had the pleasure of working with and auditing Sally Swift, Francois LeMaire, Cricket Bright, John Lyons, Lynn Palm, George Morris and others.

Kim also has an assistant at Obligation Farm, he loves to go on trail rides, helps her in the office, only enters the ring when asked, keeps all the other four legged friends in order, loves a nice bath and a brush by the campers in the summer, and works for free….her best friend, her dog Jackson.

Alice Frazier
Trainer/Instructor

Alice was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. She was introduced to horses at the ripe young age of 3 with weekend trips to the barn with her father. She started showing at 5 and never looked back. Alice moved up through the hunter circuit and excelled in equitation and hunter divisions. Alice and her show horse, Native Apache "Toby", made quite the pair and won many champion ribbons and year end awards in local and rated shows up and down the East Coast. Alice spent many of her 'young' riding years at Enticement Stables under Deana Tice. Together, Alice and Deana have spent many nights in a horse trailer and have a lot of memories that they can look back on.

Once she retired Toby, Alice turned her focus to teaching and training young horses and riders. She has also started training and shown in local jumper shows. Alice now enjoys taking her students to her old stomping grounds of the local hunter shows and seeing them have fun and excel.

Brittany Tice
Trainer/Instructor

Brittany Tice was raised on En-Tice-Ment Farm in Harwood Maryland. She is a graduate of Southern High School and is currently attending college majoring in Agribusiness with a minor in equine studies. She has been riding her whole life. Her aunt, Deana Tice, has been her trainer since she began. Brittany has been showing since she was eight years old in classes ranging from English hunter and pleasure to western. “Shoulda Been a Cowboy” aka “Kicks” is her horse and best friend. She still continues to show him at local shows in both English and western. She has been teaching lessons and helping at the summer camps for six years as well as training green horses and ponies. Brittany is also involved with 4-H, the young farmers association, and the farm bureau. She loves working at the farms and would not have her life any other way.

Ainsley Bernstein
Trainer/Instructor

Ainsley Bernstein grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and began riding at the age of six. After attending the Key School in Annapolis, she went to the College of Charleston in South Carolina where she was a member of the intercollegiate equestrian team. After four months down south, Ainsley came back to Maryland and is now pursuing a degree in Animal Science at the University of Maryland. Ainsley has been riding for thirteen years under the instruction of Kim Bonelli. She has taken clinics from Cricket Bright and Nancy Faulkner. Ainsley has been teaching lessons to beginner and intermediate students for four years now. She enjoys being around children and always has fun teaching pony camps. In addition to teaching, she enjoys riding green horses and showing in the jumpers.

Carrie Ogilvie
Trainer/Instructor

Carrie Ogilvie has lived all her life in Harwood Maryland around the corner from Enticement Farm. She has had a love of horses her whole life and was very excited when she started riding around the age of six. Carrie graduated from Southern High School and is now working toward a degree in early childhood education. She has been working with young children at the local elementary school where she volunteers in the kindergarten classes. Carrie has had the joy of being instructed by Deana Tice and learning about horses from her. She has been working at the farm for seven years and has been teaching for six years. Carrie leased a horse named Ziggy for four years. During that time, she learned a lot and had a lot of fun showing. Carrie now has her own horse, Sonny, that she got when she was 17 and loves being able to work near her horse everyday. She also showed Sonny for a couple years after she got him. Carrie was a member of 4-H where she was able to show Ziggy and Sonny at the County Fair. She enjoys riding, being at the barn, and working with her students. She loves to see the smiles on their faces when they have accomplished something new.
